Free Workshop on Teen Depression

Our upcoming workshop entitled “Teen Depression” is being held on September 14, 2010 from 6:00- 7:00pm at the Portage office located at 6469 Central Avenue. Attendants of this workshop will learn about the symptoms of teen depression, how to determine if their teen is depressed or just acting out, what is happening in a depressed teen’s brain, as well as what they can do if they think their teen is depressed. family-youth-services-bureau-logo

The presenter is Sandy Specker, MSW. Sandy has been a clinical therapist with the Family and Youth Services Bureau for the past two years. Previously she worked for four years with at-risk youth in a variety of settings. Sandy received her MSW from Indiana University Northwest.
