This week's question: New studies question the idea that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. What are your thoughts?

St-Mary-LogoDanny G.: I couldn't possibly disagree more and severely question the motive of those studies. Let me put it this way: let's pretend that your body is a car. If you want your car to run well all day, don't you think it would be a good idea to fill up the gas tank at the beginning of the day? Eating a big, but healthy meal to start off your day will not only give you energy for the morning but will carry you through the day. Balance is also key; don't eat just fruits or fiber. We all need grains, proteins, fats, and natural sugars to get our bodies running.
