Girls on the Run of NWI to host LUNAFEST

LunafestEvent to also benefit the Breast Cancer Fund

The Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana will be hosting LUNAFEST on Thursday, June 13 at the Indiana Welcome Center.

Beginning at 6 p.m., attendees will enjoy a silent auction, wine and cheese, and a night of short films by, for and about women. Attendees will also be able to view the exhibit “Region United, Nation Divided: South Shore in the Civil War.” Tickets cost $10, and proceeds from the event benefit Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana and the Breast Cancer Fund.

The traveling short film fest promotes awareness of women’s issues, highlights women filmmakers and brings women together in their communities.
