2014-Great-Gatsby-GalaAre you getting jazzed up about the Gala, yet? There is a LOT of excitement building up for this major event. County Line Orchard will be transformed into a glamorous speakeasy featuring a live band, strolling servers, decadent buffets, and amazing live and silent auction items.

There will be items at all price points in the following categories: Sports Fanatics, First Communion, Valentine gifts, Mens Zone, Hostess with the Mostest, Kids Korner, Experience This, Paycheck Stretcher, Family Time, Ladies First, and some one-of-kind opportunities at the school such as Principal for a Week, First in Carline and others.

In addition, you’ll have a chance to give a teacher a well-deserved day off by bidding to have Mrs. Halaschak come out of retirement to teach your child’s class for a day and host a pizza party lunch.

During the Gala, we’ll draw the winners for three raffles: a Big Green Egg grill with accessories compliments of Fagen Pharmacy, a giant, vintage-inspired champagne tub filled with premium liquor dubbed “The Prohibition Buster”, and a $10,000 cash prize. If you have questions about the raffles, please contact Mary Joe Jaime.

What will be on the live auction? Here is a sneak peek at a few of the offerings:

An African Safari Trip for Two, includes luxury accommodations for six nights, two guided safari tours a day, and three meals a day in beautiful Zulu Nyala Private Game Reserve in South Africa. For photos and videos of the experience, visit www.zulunyalagroup.com.

We have several more live auction items that we will unveil next week! 1920’s or cocktail attire is encouraged, and we’ll award a prize to the best dressed guy and doll. Before the end of the week, please purchase your tickets online at www.stpaulvalpo.org, and invite friends and family to attend with you. We have some sponsorships and program ad space still available, and we’re still accepting auction donations. You can check out those details on the website, too.
