Greenhouse and Nursery Managers to Learn about Water Quality, Alkalinity and pH Management for Bedding Plants

Purdue-ExtensionPurdue University Cooperative Extension Service, the Indiana Flower Growers’ Association, and the Northwest Indiana Floriculture Association will co-sponsor an educational program for people in the nursery and greenhouse business on Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST. The program will take place at Zandstra’s Farm and Greenhouse, 10202 Kennedy Ave., Highland, Indiana.

On March 8th, Dr. Brian Krug, from the University of New Hampshire, will cover Chemistry 101 in terms of water quality, alkalinity and pH management. Those attending will gain a new respect for chemistry and realize how they are using it each day, whether they know it or not. Preregistration before March 6th is required.
