Halloween-Loving Couple Exchanges Vows at Chicago Street Theatre

Halloween-WeddingA very special wedding ceremony took place on Halloween at the Chicago Street Theatre. Frankenstein's Monster married his bride.

Madeline Anderson and Jamie LaFevre have been together for 14 years and Madeline is a professed Halloween fanatic. They didn't want to make a big fuss over the nuptials and had originally planned to have Judge Harper marry them in a park in Valparaiso. The inclement weather changed the plans.

As the wedding got closer and excitement grew they decided it would be fun to be in costumes for the ceremony. They looked at a lot of different costume ideas and decided on Frankenstein's Monster and Bride of Frankenstein. The wedding guests, of which there were only six, dressed as villagers. Guests included: grooms mom, Cindy LaFevre, brides daughters Kyrie Anderson and Talia Anderson, Talia's friend Mikey Hernandez and best friends to the bride and groom, Rick and Laura Mech.

The ceremony took place at the Chicago Street Theatre on Halloween morning. Madeline had asked her daughter, Kyrie Anderson, if there was anyway she could secure Chicago Street Theatre.

"Kyrie has been very involved in local theater but has since moved to Chicago, where she is a success, to pursue her dream," Laura said. "Kyrie was very excited to help her mom and quickly told her how perfect the Chicago Street Theatre would be because currently they were putting on a production of Young Frankenstein. How fitting is that?"

The setting was already there as were the props. The ceremony was wonderful and after "I do" was said, the group went out to lunch in costume. Later that night the announcement was made at a Halloween party that Jamie and Madeline were married.

"The announcement made to their friends at the costume party was way cool. We had tears of joy, laughing, hoots and hollers," Laura said happily.
