The Lakeshore Chamber Business Expo hosted dozens of businesses, and over 300 patrons to help network with fellow Northwest Indiana businesses. The event, hosted at Dynasty Banquet Center, in Hammond, was highlighted by a lively debate over healthcare.
Many heavy hitters in the Indiana medical industry spoke, offering differing opinions on the upcoming healthcare bill. There forum also accepted questions from the patrons, all business representatives, who worried about insurance coverage and how it will affect their businesses.
Both sides of the argument were met with applause, and support from the audience.
The panel of professionals who discussed the bill, consisted of:

- Catherine Stowers, Senior Attorney - Krieg Devault, LLP
After the forum, over 40 businesses set up in booths to allow networking. Many professionals throughout the business community met with one and other. Businesses ranged from banks, to non profit companies, and local universities.
