I challenge everyone to start packing your lunch and a few healthy snacks to bring with you to work each day.
Why? Research shows that by bringing your own lunch, you consume fewer total calories and saturated fat.. and it’s better for your wallet, too!
My advice is to take 10 minutes the night before to set aside your breakfast, lunch and a few healthy snacks. Here are some quick snack ideas.
- Greek yogurt with fresh fruit
- Apple and 2 tbsp peanut butter
- ¼ cup raw nuts
- 1 oz. cheese and 6 whole grain crackers
- Green and red pepper slices and 1/8 c hummus
