The annual citywide food drive, hosted by Valparaiso city employees is Nov. 3-8. A food collection truck will be park in front of City Hall, 166 Lincolnway, daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the city encourages everyone to bring something to share – whether it’s a food item, paper goods, or a cash donation. In addition, the city and Martini’s will host a Pitch In Party on Nov. 8, beginning at 8 p.m. at Martini’s, 1004 Calumet Avenue in Valparaiso.
The party will include free tunes and appetizers for those who bring food or cash donations to be used for local food pantries. Attendees will also have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for prizes and a 50/50 pool.
