We all know that our young people are the future. Additionally, we know the future of tomorrow is very much connected with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Finally, we know many young people for whatever the reasons are not looking at these STEM fields as future careers. 
Locally, a not for profit organization - www.discoveriesunlimited.org - has been established to address this gap. This organization was founded by two very enterprising young women who saw the gap and believe they can help fill this need. Discoveries Unlimited is a not for profit organization dedicated to helping young people explore education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). By partnering Northwest Indiana young people with adults who have expertise in these four key areas and have been trained as Mentors, positive relationships are established.

Given their efforts have been 100% grass roots, there is now a concentrated effort to secure some additional revenue to help with the planning of a pilot in NW IN. Discoveries Unlimited will be selling 7-9 lb spiral cut bone in hams similar in quality to Heavenly Ham, etc.
