Holiday Trees on Display at Indiana Welcome Center

Leg-Lamp-A-Christmas-StoryLocal businesses, nonprofits and civic organizations will display holiday trees adorned with twinkling lights, handmade ornaments and sparkling trimmings at the Indiana Welcome Center as part of the annual “A Christmas Story” Comes Home exhibit.

“It really shows great community involvement and a dedication to our area by adding something special to an already amazing exhibit,” said Bethany Randolph, special events manager for South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority.

With participants including businesses, nonprofits and civic organizations, no two trees will be the same.

Those who visit the Indiana Welcome Center during the exhibit will be able to vote on their favorite decorated tree until Dec. 13, with the winner being displayed from Dec. 16 through Jan. 4, 2015.

The “A Christmas Story” Comes Home exhibit, which is presented in agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, is free to attend, with numerous special events, photos with Santa, cookie decorating and crafts planned throughout.
