Holy Name Parish Youngsters Reach Out to Help Patients

Holy-Name-Parish-Youngsters-Reach-Out-to-Help-PatientsA recent service project initiated by Mitch Remaly (first row, second from left), a member of Holy Name Parish in Cedar Lake, resulted in a recent $758 donation to Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point to be used to help make patients’ stays more comfortable “however possible.”

Holy Name religious education students, ranging from elementary through high school, who are involved in the parish’s intergenerational faith formation program, each month select and promote a project, sell crafts and donate sales proceeds to a charitable cause. Shown with Mitch (from left) are Seamus Meehan, Nathan Remaly, Kinsey Meehan and Susan Colby, Franciscan Alliance Foundation regional administrative assistant, who accepted the check.
