Homeward Bound 5K Walk Fights Homelessness

Homeward-BoundJoin thousands of Hoosiers in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide housing and fight homelessness in Indiana!

A 5K walk will be held on September 29, 2012, as part of the effort to provide housing and fight homelessness. The walk will begin at 9 am at Washington Park in Michigan City.

$25 registration includes a t-shirt, water, and a snack. Register online at www.homewardboundindiana.org

Local agencies benefiting from the walk include Catholic Charities of LaPorte County, Gabriel's Horn Homeless Shelter, LaPorte County Habitat for Humanity, Men's Homeless Shelter, Michigan City Housing Authority, and Stepping Stone Shelter for Women.

Homeward Bound is a series of annual events that take place in communities throughout Indiana to raise funding for and awareness about affordable housing and homeless needs. Since its inception in 2003, Homeward Bound has raised more than $3 million for over 100 affordable housing and homeless service providers across the state, making it Indiana’s largest grassroots fundraiser with the ultimate goal of ending homelessness.
