Honor a Hero

Air-Force-ThunderbirdsNominate a hero to fly with a military flight team

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority are seeking nominations for outstanding individuals in the community who exemplify excellence, integrity and commitment, just like the Airmen serving throughout the nation.

The awardee of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Hometown Heroes Program will receive an orientation flight before the South Shore Air Show. The flight will be with an experienced pilot to kick off the 2014 South Shore Air Show.

To nominate a Hometown Hero, please send an email including the nominee’s name, address, phone number and a brief explanation (about 250 words) of why the nominee should be considered the South Shore Air Show’s Hometown Hero to Stacina Stagner, communications coordinator with the South Shore CVA, at staci@southshorecva.com by Friday, Feb. 21. Additionally, nominators are asked to include their contact information. Heroes must be 18 years of age or older and in good health.

The 2014 South Shore Air Show will be held at Fair Oaks Farms July 11-13. Fair Oaks Farms is a 33,000 acre attraction, allowing the two organizations ample room to make additions to the family-fun event. Attendees will enjoy exciting aerial acrobatics, Fair Oaks Farm attractions, as well as new additions.
