Hospitals of Community Healthcare System welcome practitioners to physician network

Community Healthcare System recently welcomed several practitioners to the Community Care Network, Inc. (CCNI) team of physicians. Among the specialties these physicians and surgeons represent are colorectal/general surgery, family medicine, internal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. The CCNI group of physicians are closely affiliated with Community Healthcare System’s hospitals: Community Hospital in Munster, St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart and specialty hospital, Community Stroke & Rehabilitation Center in Crown Point.

OB/GYN Omar Abuzeid, MD, completed his residency and internship at Hurley Medical Center/Michigan State University. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He is on staff at Community Hospital and is accepting new patients. For an appointment, call 219-836-5512.

Internal Medicine Practitioner Ragini Bielski, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. She completed her residency and internship Loyola University Medical Center. Also new to CCNI is general surgeon Katherine Foley, MD, on staff at St. Mary Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Orlando Health in Orlando and her residency through Abington Hospital, Abington, PA. Foley received her medical degree at Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.

Board Certified Family Medicine Practitioner Dan P. Kaup, MD, served his residency and internship at Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, WA.
