A flower and plant sale is being held to benefit the Porter County Special Olympics and the Chicago Street Theatre. Plants for sale include: 
- Flats, Hanging baskets, pre-made pots
- Impatiens
- Egg plant
- Nonstop begonias
- Broccoli
- Gerber daisies
- Cabbage
- Geraniums
- 20 varieties of tomatoes
- Petunias
- Brussel sprouts
- Marigolds
- Cauliflower
The sale will be held at Yeager's Greenhouse, located at 348 North 450 East in Valparaiso. 
Take Hwy 2 to 450 E (about 1/4 of a mile east of Washington Township School), turn south on 450 E, greenhouses will be on the right side of the road.
Sale dates:
- Friday, May 7, from 1 to 6 pm
- Saturday, May 8, from 8 am to 3 pm
- Saturday, May 15, from 8 am to 3 pm
- Sunday, May 16, from noon to 4 pm
- Saturday, May 29 from 8 am to 3 pm
- Sunday, May 30, from noon to 4 pm
