Ideas in Motion has announced that in February 2010, the company will launch PortageLife.com, a community-based website focused on publishing all the positive content regarding the people, organizations, and businesses of Portage, Indiana.
“We are excited to start getting the word out about all the great things happening in Portage,” said Publisher Chris Mahlmann. “Often, the good stuff going on in every community gets pushed out of the spotlight, so we are happy to be working with Mayor Olga Velazquez, the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce, and all the great people we’ve already met with who want the positive stories in this great community to see the light of day.”
The website will follow a similar structure and design as the company’s first community site, ValpoLife.com, with an emphasis on stories in the worlds of business, sports, community, health, and entertainment for Portage Indiana. The site will be rich with photos and videos of specific interest to residents of Portage.
Mayor Velazquez stated, “We are urging all business owners, civic leaders and community organizers to step forward through the month of January to provide their information for our target launch date of February, 2010.”
PortageLife.com will serve as a central gateway for articles, events, photos, videos, and blogs from selected local authors covering anything and everything positive going on in and around the city of Portage. The company was created with the founding principle that that there are countless positive stories to be told about the people, organizations and businesses serving every community.
