IHSAA Endorses Varvee.com as New Statistics Service

With a new school year fast approaching, the Indiana High School Athletic Association has endorsed VarVee, Inc. as its official statistics gathering partner beginning with the 2010-11 academic year.

Through its website at www.varvee.com, the service will be accessible to IHSAA member schools and greatly simplify the process of recording, tabulating, publishing, and accessing comprehensive sports statistics and, in turn, making it available to coaches, players, news media and fans.

Beginning with the fall sports, VarVee.com will assist participating IHSAA schools to record statistical information in baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball and wrestling. The IHSAA will continue to provide weekly, in-season updates of state statistical leaders in several sports as it has in the past through its own website at www.ihsaa.org.

VarVee, Inc. will provide every member school with instructions on using the website and system and also provide individualized support and technical assistance throughout the school year. Additionally, student-athletes will now be able to create their own personal athletic profiles and link their results from multiple sports and seasons. Everyone will be able to sign up for alerts for their favorite team, sport or athlete.

“This opportunity is a privilege for our organization,” commented Stephen Cunningham, Chief Executive Officer, VarVee, Inc. “We are committed to working with the IHSAA to provide the best information that has ever been made available about athletes, teams, stats, and results. Our mission is to celebrate high school athletics.”

The IHSAA had previously worked with DigitalSports.com over the last three school years.
