Immanuel Lutheran Church Celebrates 150th Anniversary

Meyer-DaleImmanuel Lutheran Church is celebrating its 150th anniversary. A special festive worship service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 8 & 10:45 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Immanuel is located at the corner of Glendale and Monticello Park Drive. Dale Meyer, President of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and former Lutheran Hour speaker, will be speaking. The celebration will continue from 12:30-4 p.m. at Central Park Plaza, home to the Porter Health Amphitheater. Immanuel members, past and present, as well as friends of Immanuel are welcome, but advanced reservations are required. Please call 219-462-8207 to reserve your spot.

A picnic lunch will be catered by Suzie’s Café. Indiana Beverage will provide the beverages while South Shore Brass Ensemble and Gloria Dei dancers entertain spectators. Immanuel’s history through the decades will be presented by our talented school teachers and staff. Games, crafts, time capsule, scavenger hunt, and photo booth will keep the kids young and old entertained.
