The state website of Indiana, IN.gov, was recently honored with two Silver W3 awards and three Silver Davey Awards by the International Academy of the Visual Arts for outstanding design and usability. The honors are the 18th unique awards earned in 2013 for the state’s website and applications.

“It is an honor to be recognized by both of these organizations,” said state chief information officer Paul Baltzell. “The W3 and Davey awards are a testament to the hard work of our employees to make the website accessible and easy to navigate for Hoosiers. Our web development team is always looking at new design methods and features that simplify the process of finding information and conducting online transactions. We will continue to make improvements to our site and services to help Hoosiers connect with their government.”

The IN.gov website earned two Silver awards from W3, which honors outstanding Websites, Web Marketing, Web Video & Mobile Apps, in the categories of: General Website – Government and Website Features – IN.gov home page. Website entries were judged upon creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design and ease of use.
