Indiana Elite Gymnastics Flip for a Cure

flip-for-cure-eliteGymnasts and Cheerleaders from Indiana Elite Gymnastics participated in the Valparaiso Relay for Life on Friday, May 20. Participants tumbled at the event for donations to benefit the American Cancer Society’s event. This is just the start of the organizations efforts.

On June 11, the gym will be offering two gymnastics clinics at the facility located off State Rd 130 in Wheeler. Former AAU Junior Olympic Champion, Lisa (Nevill) Whipps and the staff of Indiana Elite will offer training for beginning & advanced gymnastics. The clubs 2010 USAG Indiana State Champions will also be on hand to meet and greet participants. Participants can work on beginning tumbling, bar, vault or beam skills from 10:00 am – 11:30 am, recommended age from 2-7 years. Children with previous gymnastics experience can register for the advanced clinic from 11:30 – 1:00, recommended ages 8 & up.

Clinics usually cost $30. However, the coaches have donated their time for this event, so there is a suggested donation of $5 per child, any additional donations are also encouraged. All proceeds will be split between the Duneland & Portage Relay for Life events. Registration for the program is open until June 8th. Space is limited, so call today!
