Gymnasts and Cheerleaders from Indiana Elite Gymnastics will be accepting donations beginning the week of July 25th of items that will be sent to our troops overseas. They have partnered with S.O.M. (The Supporters of Military), which is a local non-profit that ships care packages every three months to the troops in combat, serving in Irag and Afghanistan.
The group will be collecting condiments and comics. So, gather all of those extra ketchup, mustard, sugar, sweetener, creamer, salt, pepper, hot sauce, soy sauce, etc lying around your home or office. Also, the troops enjoy reading the comics out of the newspaper, so save those as well. Additional items desired are hand wipes and travel size toiletries.
Members will be available to pick up any items you wish to donate by scheduling a pickup time or items may be dropped off at the gym. To schedule a pickup or drop off, email us at IEG_ASA@aol.com or call 219.764.1019. The gym is located at 679 W. Indiana State Rd, 130 in Wheeler.
