Indiana Moving Up in CNBC Rankings

nwiforumCNBC has released its 2011 America’s Top States For Business list, and Indiana is moving up. The state ranks in the top ten in two categories, including the cost of doing business and business friendliness.

Indiana ranks 15 overall on the list, up from number 21 in 2010.

CNBC says the categories were weighted based on how often they are used in state marketing materials, meaning the study aims to rank the states based on the criteria they use to sell themselves. Virginia topped the list. Rhode Island came in at the bottom.
