All IU alumni, friends and family invited; pre-show reception hosted by alumni groups iunlogo

On Friday, Oct. 8, the Indiana University Northwest Alumni Association and the IU Alumni Association - Lakeshore Region Chapter invite all IU alumni, friends and family to attend a live theatrical performance of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at The Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster.

The performance, starting at 8 p.m., will be preceded by a private, alumni association-sponsored reception at 6:30 p.m. held at The Center.

Based on a popular 1988 film starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a musical comedy following two competing con artists, Lawrence Jameson and Freddy Benson, in the glitzy and glamorous French Riviera. After realizing the French coastal town isn’t big enough for the both of them, they agree on a settlement, leading to more competition, bribery and endless humor for the audience.

Don’t miss the fun-filled night at the theater! Tickets are $30 for IUAA members and $35 for non-members. To purchase tickets, contact the IU Northwest Office of Alumni Relations by Monday, Oct. 4, at (219) 980-6769 or alumninw@iun.edu.

The cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception is only for theatergoers who purchase tickets directly from the Office of Alumni Relations.

The Center for Visual and Performing Arts is the area’s premier venue for the arts. It is located in Munster at 1040 Ridge Road. To learn more about the theater, visit www.cvpa.org.
