Like many of Industrial Revolution’s employees, Casey Wolfe came to the job after a friend recommended it, saying it was a really great place to work and her friend was right. The fun family-like atmosphere of Industrial Revolution seems to attract the most friendly and caring employees like Wolfe.
Wolfe has been working at Industrial Revolution for about 5 years now, since August of 2011. Just before moving to Valparaiso for her job and friends, she lived in Crown Point,
Wolfe is originally from Nebraska, where she still currently has family. She was born and raised there, and then moved to Indiana when she was 8 years old. After spending many years in the Kankakee Valley area, she moved to Tinley Park Ill. just after 10th grade. She graduated high school and later found herself in Crown Point, Indiana before moving to Valpo.
Though she has lived in many places, she really enjoys living in Valpo. “I have a lot of friends out here which is nice. But I’ve always really liked Valpo. Just the town, I think everyone’s really friendly. There’s a lot of good shopping and food.” said Wolfe.
She currently has about 10 years of serving experience. When she came to Industrial Revolution she started as a hostess and moved up quickly to becoming a server.
Wolfe’s passion for her job lies in her love for people. “I just love people. I’m not really sure what my future holds but whatever it is, it has to do with people.”
Wolfe has always had an interest in working with and helping people. She hopes to return to school sooner or later to join the medical field. She is in no rush however, because she is currently really enjoying her time as a server.
Her favorite part of working at Industrial Revolution is the people she meets and works with.
“The people, I know everyone says that but it’s so true. We’re all just like a huge, big family. We all get along. We always all hang out. I think we’re all like best friends. I really like all our managers as well.” said Wolfe. “The owners are amazing, Jen and Mike are probably two of the best people I’ve ever met in my life and I’m so grateful for them for keeping me around.”
Wolfe places a high importance on her family and friends which helps her fit in well at Industrial, “The people that are closest to you are always going to be there. That’s what’s most important. It’s not about money. It’s about the people who are there for you.”
Wolfe feels that the big difference between Industrial Revolution and other restaurants she’s worked for is the family owned aspect.
“I feel like other restaurants are super corporate and this is not corporate at all. It’s personally, family owned. And everyone is like super close. And like the owners, they’re always around. They always try to get to know us. I think that’s really nice.” said Wolfe.
In her spare time, Wolfe likes to read fiction novels, sing Karaoke with friends and listen to classic rock
Wolfe’s positive and easygoing attitude is a perfect addition to the Industrial Revolution Crew. Stop by and pay her visit! Industrial Revolution opens daily at 11:00 am.
