Roy Boehm
(1924-2008)
Roy Boehm served the military in the US Navy for over 30 years in various capacities. Boehm was a mustang officer who rose from the enlisted ranks to become tasked to clandestinely help create an elite new Naval Warfare Commando unit that had sea, air, and land capabilities. He was instrumental in not only the designing and developing, but also implementing and leading of this Commando force. Those Commandos would become known as the Navy Seals. Arguably now one of the most famous of all Navy Seals and considered the godfather of all Seals, he was the first officer in charge of Seal Team Two.
