Introducing the New Region Rat Rollers Inter-League Scrimmage: Superheroes vs Villains

Double-Header-July-20Northwest Indiana's first women's flat track roller derby league, the Region Rat Rollers, will be holding their fourth home bout on July 20 at Hammond's Jean Shepherd Center. The Region Rat Rollers will be taking on the Ann Arbor Derby Dimes of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Admission is $10, with children 5 and under admitted at no cost.

The event will also feature the first public scrimmage of the newest skaters in the Region Rat Rollers league. The Superheroes will take on the Villains in an epic battle to determine the future of the Region. Will the Villains take over, or can the Superheroes stop them in time?

The Region Rat Rollers are committed to helping women feel empowered and welcome without discrimination. RRR is a non-profit organization made up of volunteer skaters and supporters who donate their time to keep the league running. The league has donated thousands of dollars to various charities throughout the Northwest Indiana region, including Habitat for Humanity, United Way, Boys and Girls Clubs, and more.

RRR is currently striving for certification under WFTDA, the national Women's Flat Track Derby Association.
