It’s Nice to be Appreciated!

Written by Jane Scupham staff-appreciation

Last week the faculty and staff enjoyed a week of pampering and luxury. The festivities began with a delicious homemade breakfast buffet provided by a cheerful group of mothers on Monday morning. We were able to walk the halls of the school and read the words of appreciation and thanks on colorful cards that decorated door frames and walls as we munched on warm cinnamon buns. On Tuesday the office turned into a floral shop, with bouquet after fragrant bouquet being arranged and delivered to everyone’s desk. Wednesday was personal beautification day with manicures and massages for all. Thursday the teachers and staff were invited to a catered lunch in the social hall as parents supervised all the classrooms, lunchroom, office, and playground. It is a rare treat when all of us to have the opportunity to eat together. The “royal treatment” continued on Friday as all employees were crowned royalty for the day and given a personalized “royal” certificate, bookmark and gift certificate, and treated to a heartwarming song sung by the sixth graders.

Words cannot adequately express our thanks for everything the parents did to make this year’s Teachers’ Appreciation Week such a memorable one. It is all the acts of caring that remind us of the reasons we have chosen to be part of this wonderfully rewarding vocation at Saint Paul Catholic School.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you!
