That expression keeps coming back in my mind again and again that past few days and weeks. It could be coming from a variety of things:
- The crazy paced mania that happens when starting up a whole new community connection website, while trying to steal away enough time to enjoy your kids, your wife, and all the great friends you are meeting
- The elixir of positive momentum that I get the more often both of those areas of my life are thriving and growing by the day
- The response we have gotten to the all positive aspect of ValpoLife telling the stories about what is great in Valpo
- It very well may just be the fact that with a steady dose of rain last night and this morning, all of the grass, trees and flowers are rich full of color and I am a garden and plant nut so I am happy to see them so full of life
No matter the reason, that term keeps coming up more and more often in my days, and I must tell you it sure can be a bit addicting.
- We’ve had a lot of people tell us that the coverage and perspective we are giving to good people, companies, and organizations in town is refreshing
- I get pretty refreshed every morning when I open my email in box and generally have a bunch of great news waiting for me, from more nice people than I thought I might meet in a lifetime
- Refreshing is the feeling that comes when a mom mentions how much she likes the photo of her swimmer, track athlete, or graduate
- It’s also the word I would use to describe when the community organization shares how happy they are to get the word out about what they are trying to accomplish in serving this town and those in need
- It is pretty refreshing the way that the site and the concept behind it has been welcomed by the city and so many people in it, even though I have not lived here my whole life, and Valpo is now my adopted “forever home town”
- The feeling I got last night at the Concert in the Park where I got to watch band members from 8th grade to 72 years old play a bunch of cool tunes together in a historic building on a beautiful night, sure is refreshing.
- Finally, it is going to be pretty refreshing, as corny as I know that sounds, when we are distributing many cases a week of ice cold ValpoLife.com water this summer at local ball fields, construction sites, community events, or anywhere else Valpo is hanging out at this summer, from the soon to be tricked out ValpoLife.com Community Vehicle, in partnership with Bottled Marketing Solutions, a cool, smart marketing company here in Valpo.
So enjoy the rain for what it brings, enjoy the community for what it offers, thanks for responding so strongly to this whole new concept that we call ValpoLife.com, and we’ll see you around town throughout this summer taking photos, videos, hearing and telling your stories, and handing out some cool ValpoLife gear, and a frosty bottle of water. All in all, it’s pretty refreshing!
