IU Northwest Alumni Group Encourages ‘Lifelong Learning’

The Indiana University Northwest Alumni Association is here to help you achieve your learning objectives and goals through “Lifelong Learning” seminars open to the general community, as well as to IU Northwest students, faculty, staff and alumni.

At the next Lifelong Learning seminar, Professor of Business Ranjan Kini, Ph.D., will present “All About Data,” at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 24 in the John W. Anderson Library Conference Center, Room 105ABC. Doors open for registration at 5:30 p.m.

iunorthwestKini will discuss Big Data, Data Mining, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, Data Science and a multitude of other terms that are relevant to every profession. He will explain the importance of generating, processing, analyzing and interpreting data to aid decision-making. Attendees will learn more about the importance of data and why it is necessary to understand data regardless of one’s profession.
