Indiana University Northwest was recently awarded the Longevity Award, bestowed by the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s annual awards dinner.
The Longevity Award is presented annually to select local organizations that have been in business for more than 20 years.
“This is the Chamber’s way of celebrating the success of local businesses,” said Monique Ruiz, of the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce. “Longevity is good for the community. It shows stability, growth and economic development. We are proud to recognize IU Northwest and all that they do and provide for Northwest Indiana.”
Other 2014 recipients of the Chamber’s Longevity Award include: Albert's Diamond Jewelers, Allard Truck Rental Corporation, BP Whiting Business Unit, City of Hammond, Dynasty Banquets, El Taco Real, First Merchants Bank (Citizens Financial Bank), Kauffman Chiropractic, Krieg DeVault, LLP, and P & H Printing, Inc.
