IU Northwest Opens 2015 Spring Enrollment for Adult Education Classes

rot1Indiana University Northwest offers courses for lifestyle enrichment and career enhancement through its Adult Education program. Courses are taught on campus, and at multiple locations in Northwest Indiana.

IU Northwest students and the community are encouraged to register for courses that will prepare them for a job promotion or may even spark an interest in completing a degree program.

Career Development
Certified Nursing Assistant: Three-week course offered at Healthcare Training Center in Merrillville on a rolling basis beginning Jan. 26; $830 (daytime), $880 (evening). For additional dates visit http://www.iun.edu/adult-education/index.htm.
Dental Office Administration: Wednesdays, March 18 – May 20, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., $275 (includes book).
Health Insurance Billing: Mondays, March 23 – May 18; Wednesdays, April 29, May 6, 13; 6 to 8:30 p.m., $450.
Medical Terminology: Wednesdays, March 4 – April 22, 6 to 8:30 p.m., $260 (includes book).
Pharmacy Technician Training: Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 2 - April 22, 9 to 11:30 a.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 3 – May 21, 7 to 9:30 p.m., $1,050 (includes book and workbook).

Microsoft Excel—Microsoft Office 2013: Saturday, March 14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., $160 (includes book) / ($130 if you have book from WORD class). The course is offered again from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 25.
Basic Computers: Fridays, March 6 – May 1; 9 a.m. to Noon; $160.
Introduction to Adobe InDesign: Saturdays, March 21 – April 18; 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.; $160.

Personal Development
Stepping Line Dancing: Saturdays, March 7 – May 9; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; $125.

Online Instruction
Those interested in taking classes online have the option to choose courses in a variety of disciplines, such as Design and Composition; Law and Legal; and Writing and Publishing.
