Indiana University Northwest Women's Cross Country team is pleased to announce the signing of Camille Ochoa to the 2015-16 recruiting class. The Merrillville High School senior qualified for state her junior year while attending high school in Arizona before moving back home to Northwest Indiana.
Ochoa has accumulated a long list of accolades which includes Team MVP, all-conference honors, and appearances at the state meet.
She is also a 4-year letter winner in cross country and track, semi-state qualifier, and a personal record of 19:59 in the 5k.
In addition to this, Ochoa also participated in girls' basketball and is an honor roll student. "Ochoa will make an immediate impact on our team," Heridia said. "We are extremely excited to have Ochoa; she is hardworking student-athlete that brings a lot of positives to our young but growing team.
The RedHawks hope to build on their success from last season as they prepare for the PNC/PUC Season Opener Friday August 28th.
