Keeping My Cool at the Porter County Family Counseling Center

Porter-County-Family-Counseling-CenterKeeping My Cool is a 13 week anger management group that teaches individuals the in's and out's of anger. Anger is a natural emotion that could potentially lead to rage, violence, and negative consequences. This group will provide a safe space for people to share their personal experiences with anger. This group will train individuals on new ways to cope with their anger and use their anger in constructive not destructive ways. Each week a new anger management tool will be added to each participant's mental "toolbox."

The first week will be a pre-screening group for individuals interested in anger management. Individuals interested in attending this program must sign up and complete an initial assessment. The Group will start on March 5th and go through May 28th, meeting on Saturdays from 10 to 11:30 A.M. Our fees for group are based on individual income and range from $5 per session to $30 per session. Scholarships are available for those who are unable to pay. If you have any questions about the group you may contact Porter County Family Counseling Center directly at 219-364-2732. You can find more information about the group at www.pcfcc.org.

Snacks will be served!
