The Valparaiso Community Schools Kindergarten Roundup will be held in on Friday, April 23, 2009, 
at each of the district’s eight elementary schools. Children who are entering kindergarten in the fall of 2010 and their parents are invited to attend this registration meeting. Parents are requested to bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate and a record of immunizations.
Children must be five years old on or before August 1, 2010, to be eligible for kindergarten for the 2010-11 school year. Parents are reminded that all immunizations must be completed and submitted to the school office prior to the start of the school year. The minimum state requirements for school admission are 5 DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus), 4 oral polio, 3 Hepatitis B, 2 M/M/R (measles, mumps, and rubella) and 2 varicella (chickenpox) vaccine.
