Lakeshore PAWS Gearing Up For 5th Annual Pup Crawl

On Friday, June 18th, Lakeshore PAWS will be hosting their annual Pup Crawl at Valparaiso’s Central Park Plaza. This year’s fun-filled celebration of our 4-legged friends begins at 5:00pm and will last until 10:00pm.

All dogs are welcome at this year's Pup Crawl and Walk to Support Homeless Pets. The event will feature live music by the Crawpuppies, local food & pet vendors, and entertainment for the kids, as well as a beer and wine tent.

The dog walk at this year’s Pup Crawl will begin at 6 p.m. and to participate, go to the Lakeshore PAWS website or visit their event page to register. Admission into the park is free to the community but you must register to take part in the walk. All are welcome to attend but, for safety, dogs must be on a leash and only one dog per registrant.

“We are very excited about our 5th annual Pup Crawl,” said Jeanne Sommer, Lakeshore PAWS’ Executive Director. “Lakeshore PAWS is about dogs and families and we have something for everyone this year. There is a beer and wine garden for the adults and games for the kids as well as raffles, vendors, great food, and of course lots of dogs. Stop by with or without your dog!”

Participants can bring their dogs or come alone as there will plenty of dogs to meet that are looking for a caring owner and a loving home.

Each year, as word continues to spread about Lakeshore PAWS and their mission to find permanent homes for homeless pets, the number of people wanting to help the organization succeed increases and this amazing event gets better every summer.

Lakeshore PAWS is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization in Northwest Indiana and the money raised at events like the Pup Crawl goes toward taking care of more pets who are waiting to find a home.

Admission is free to the event, but register now to participate in the walk and receive this year's commemorative T-shirt: https://runsignup.com/Race/IN/Valparaiso/LakeshorePAWSPupCrawl
