On June 26, Latitude Commercial hosted its annual client appreciation party at Innsbrook Country Club in Merrillville. Latitude Commercial is a full-service commercial real estate brokerage and property management firm specializing in Northwest Indiana and the South Chicago Suburbs. The party had food, drinks, live music, and a raffle featuring two local charities: Exceptional Equestrians Unlimited and TradeWinds.
“It's really our way to show the clients that we work with, both in real estate and property management, how much we appreciate them trusting Latitude Commercial with their business,” said Office Manager Michelle Czysczon. “I love bringing people together and raising money for good causes. Our charities of choice for 2025 both help disabled folks in different ways, but really it's supporting the same group of people. It humanizes us and shows that not only are we grateful for the business, but also that giving back is such an important part of what we do. One of our main missions at Latitude is to give back and support the community. This is one of the ways that we get to do that, by bringing this awesome group of people together.”
One person in attendance was Jeffrey Perz, a board member at Exceptional Equestrians. He explained the Hobart organization’s mission and how it hits especially close to home for him.
“It's a program that works with children with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, anxiety disorders, and other different things, and our role as volunteers is to try to make their lives just a little bit better. We do that through a therapeutic program. It helps improve their balance, coordination, and I think most importantly, it helps improve their self confidence,” he said. “I've been on their board for nine years, but my history goes back more than 20 years because I had a son with autism who rode there 20 years ago. I saw the difference it made with my son. I see the difference it makes with some of the other children we work with. That's the motivation for volunteering.”
Another charity Latitude featured this year was TradeWinds located in Crown Point, a nonprofit organization that provides services for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Its offerings include child care, summer & functional skills camps, speech & occupational therapy, adult day activity program & training (ADAPT), pre-vocational services, employment services, residential group and supported living homes, respite for caregivers, deaf services, the TradeWinds Community Pantry, and more. Its mission is to serve people with special needs by empowering them to realize their full potential.
Latitude Office Group Director Antony Micosc shared that the company has held a client appreciation party every year he’s been with the company, and every year it continues to grow.
“There's a lot of people every year. It's a good networking opportunity. We have a very diverse clientele in many different fields, office, retail, industrial users, providers, contractors, bankers, any kind of service you could need. They love coming to this. There’s different kinds of buildings, and all those different kinds of business owners too,” Micosc said.
