Do you have any time to give this summer? Hilltop Neighborhood House is looking for a few new volunteers.
Our child care program is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. To 6:00 p.m., and supports the growing minds and bodies of children ages 6 weeks through 6 years. Volunteers are needed to work in the infant, toddler and preschool rooms to assist teachers with daily activities. Hilltop Child Care is located at 460 S. College Ave in Valparaiso.
Hilltop Too: Walt’s Place’s after school recreational program which is free of charge to school age children weekdays from 3:30-5:30 PM needs volunteers to help children with their homework, prepare and serve meals and lead arts & crafts activities. Walt's Place is located at 544 Locust Street in Valparaiso.
New this summer at Hilltop is our Kids Cafe. Children ages 0-18 are offered free hot lunches weekdays from 12:00-1:00 PM. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve hot, healthy meals to school aged children from the Hilltop Neighborhood. Hilltop Kids Cafe will be hosted in the Union Community Church building at 604 Monroe Street in Valparaiso
Hilltop’s Food Pantry serves over 400 individuals each month. Volunteers are needed to fill orders, stock shelves and deliver food items. The Food Pantry is located at 604 Monroe street provided assistance to 350 individuals last month.
