The Indianapolis native graduated with her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana. Zieles originally when to school for dental hygiene. Shortly after school started, she found a new passion.
“It wasn’t until my mom fell down some stairs and was in the hospital is when I decided on a new career path,” Zieles explained. “We had to talk with a Social Worker in the hospital and I just loved her. She was so nice, personal and sweet about everything. She had a lot of the answers that we needed so I think that’s what sparked it.”
During her first internship at an Evansville hospital working, Zieles saw her true passion come alive.
“I worked in the cardiovascular unit at a local hospital when I was introduced to the geriatric population,” Zieles noted. “I loved working with them and decided to pursue this area as my career path.”
After accepting the position at the care center, Zieles and her husband said ‘Goodbye’ to Evansville and ‘Hello’ to Valparaiso and the residents at the Life Care Center of the Willows.
“I really do care about these people and try to provide the absolute BEST experiences for them,” Zieles said.
