Friends, old and new, came together in Ideas in Motion Media’s Napoleon Street office on Thursday night for the LIFE Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Representatives from the Hobart, La Porte, Duneland, and Portage Chambers of Commerce attended the open house for a symbolic ribbon cutting.
The event served to thank the Chambers for their continuous support of Ideas in Motion over the last five years. LIFE partners in the community also attended to show their support. Zao Island, Don Quijote, Firehouse Subs and Texas Roadhouse catered the event. When guests walked through the door they received a bag of goodies and were ushered into the kitchen to mingle over pizza, beer, and snacks.
Ideas in Motion staff, sporting their iconic black polos, flitted through the crowd of people, exchanging handshakes and smiles. As Ideas in Motion partners joked and exchanged stories, they formed new lasting connections, which is what Ideas in Motion is all about. Ideas in Motion serves the community by forging networks with individuals all interested in furthering the common good of the community.
“Ideas In Motion was founded on a really simple premise: there’s a lot of good to be shared wherever you go,” said Ideas In Motion Media founder Chris Mahlmann said to the guests. “It’s just a crazy idea without you guys.”
But it’s a crazy idea that has grown into a mutually beneficial friendship between the Chambers of Commerce, local businesses, and Ideas in Motion Media. The hard work and connections come full circle to produce positive results within local communities, and the ribbon cutting was all about celebrating this success.
“They’ve been very very helpful in attending our events and giving us publicity,” said Mike Seitz, President of the LaPorte Chamber of Commerce.“Anytime you can maximize your communication efforts is a good thing for the organization. Chris, through his business, has given us the opportunity to expand our communication abilities through LaPorteCountyLife. He lets our members know what our Chamber is doing, and we appreciate everything they do.”
"The Hobart Chamber is one of the newest partners with Ideas in Motion and everything that they have done with us has been awesome. And we look forward to a long-lasting partnership,"
Lisa Winstead, Executive Director for the Hobart Chamber of Commerce said.
LIFE would like to again express immense gratitude for all of the positive support from the local community. It is these relationships that pave the way for LIFE to bring uplifting news to the area and will continue to do so in the future.
"You guys are gold partners at the Porter Chamber of Commerce. Thank you for everything you do." Nancy Simpson, Office Manager for the Portage Chamber of Commerce said.
“Ideas in Motion has been an excellent media partner for the Duneland Chamber of Commerce and has created many new opportunities for us to connect with thousands of active, positive-minded people,” said Leslie Bryan, Membership Marketing Coordinator for the Duneland Chamber of Commerce.“We wish you many years of continued success and growth.”
