Start your holiday weekend with a bang by Livin' It Up! Sunset Hill Farm County Park (Route 6 and Meridian Rd.) will be rockin' and rollin' with a live music extravaganza and entertainment for the whole family from 10 a.m. to dusk and beyond on Saturday, July 2nd. An awesome fireworks display will culminate a perfect day. The day will begin with a cutest baby contest and dog show. To pre-register, call Carrie Ackenhusen at 219-689-6901. There is an $8 entry fee, and prizes will be awarded.
The variety of music will feature Glitch, Chris and Lou, Vultress, Zillaz, Mudfoot, Overdue, Jimmy Nicely, James Saqui, United Dance Arts, D.J., and Andy Petrovich. Headlining will be local artists, Hoosier Highway. And while you are singing and swaying to the music, there will be food, crafts, and games to enjoy, as well. Just bring your blanket or chairs and stay for the duration.
All this extra special entertainment will be yours for the minimal cost of $10 per car, so pile your family and friends in your vehicle, and head out to Sunset Hill Farm on July 2nd. This fun-filled day is guaranteed to please. All proceeds are to benefit Porter County Special Olympics.
