The weekend of June 24-27, local businesses contributed to the development of OE Lakeside by donating a percentage of their sales to the project. They also offered the chance to purchase an "OE Lakeside tree" for $1 and displayed the "trees" in their business.
Due to a matching grant from the Dean and Barbara White Family foundation, every dollar given to OE Lakeside for the next year will be doubled, up to $2,000,000.
