“We are grateful to host a fun event like the 10k run that brings the Valpo community together for a good purpose – caring for those in need,” said Pastor Steve Bongard.

Run Into Fall consists of both a 10K race and a 1 Mile Kids Fun Run. Racheal Marchand won the 10K race with a time of 35:57.8 and Carson Parrish finished first in the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run with a time of 6:44.2.

The Immanuel Food Pantry is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. Monetary and food donations are needed to help stock the shelves this winter.

“We are deeply thankful for this generous gift to our food pantry,” said Bongard.

The second annual Run Into Fall will be a Striders Gold Cup race and take place at 8 am on September 21, 2013.
