Mahlmann Joins Sievers, Stolpe on WVLP’s “Sound Advice”

Chris Mahlmann joined Jim Sievers and Dean Stolpe on WVLP 98.3FM’s “Sound Advice” show to talk about social media and online communication.

Chris talks thing off talking about Ideas in Motion Media and the state of the company’s expansion, and directs the audience to,, and the social media networks associated with the media entities.

Chris talks about some of his video interview subjects from around the region and the state, from Governor Mitch Daniels to Gary Mayor Freeman-Wilson to Congressman Pete Visclosky.

The three then discuss the origins of Ideas in Motion Media, starting up in a garage above Mahlmann’s kitchen, then expansion to the office in downtown Valparaiso. The expansion isn’t over, either. Once is officially launched, ValpoLife and PortageLife will be getting a visual overhaul, designed to make the site more user friendly and easier to navigate.

The crew also discuss starting a business, when to expand, when and how to develop, and getting the best bang for your buck when a business is still early in its life. They also discuss how certain businesses should utilize and prioritize different social media tools in promoting their business, from Twitter to LinkedIn to Facebook.
