Meet Sharon Hevezi: Real Estate Agent, Charity Giver, NW Indiana Native, Loving Wife

Sharon-HeveziSharon Hevezi is a veteran sales person and full-time Real Estate professional with more than two decades of experience.

She started in sales in the 1960’s with Tiara Exclusives where she was the Area Manager. She also taught classes, organized, and held sales assemblies from 1970 through 1983. She then began her Real Estate career in 1990. “I was accustomed to choosing my own hours allowing me to be home more with our 3 children. I thought Real Estate would be a great way to help people find and sell their house. I loved staging and became a good negotiator. Real Estate was a perfect fit for my next career.”

She says “I love people and homes. I like taking the stress out of the buying and selling process for my clients, making the process fun and enjoyable.” I love calling a buyer and saying “Congratulations, you have a home, and calling a seller and saying Congratulations, your home is sold.”

She is one of the top agents in the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of Realtors. She has been named one of the Top Ten agents in the region by Real Trends Magazine, and has also earned the Century21 Customer Service Quality Award.

In addition to being a multi-million-dollar producer, Sharon has gathered the depth of knowledge necessary to help buyers and sellers at all points of life. She earned the Graduate Realtor Institute, Certified Residential Specialist and Residential Marketing Master designations, and she continues active membership in the National Association of Realtors, Indiana Association of Realtors, Realtor’s Political Action Committee, and Greater Northwestern Indiana Association of Realtors. As a native of Northwest Indiana, Sharon also brings a passion for the region to her varied client list, which includes everything from first-time home buyers to executive homes, commercial properties to vacant land, and everything in between.

Aside from her real estate career, Sharon is involved in her community. “I am so blessed and it is important to pay it forward.” She participates in the “Day of Caring” in Valparaiso. “Each year we do something different. This year we worked with Lake Shore Paws, a great service for animals. I donate clothes, toys, food, etc. to different charities throughout the year.”

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Sharon and her husband Joe have 3 children Mark, Lynn and Robert, and 2 grandchildren, Austin age 8 and Connor age 6. “I am fortunate to have them in the area. Of course, I helped find them homes, which was a great joy for me.”

When she’s not selling homes, Sharon loves antique treasures and decorating. I used to have a shop called “The Days Gone By” antiques. I currently attend Estate Sales and Auctions with my daughter Lynn and grandson Connor, who is 6 years old. We call him our 4th generation picker. I think it is unique to find a treasure that was loved by someone else.
