Meet the Incredible Duneland 2016 Hustle up the Hancock Team

The Duneland YMCA has teamed up with some Lakeside Wealth Management and Ideas in Motion to create an incredible Hustle up the Hancock team! We want to raise as many dollars for the Respiratory Health Association as possible and we need your help.

Please follow us here to cheer us on, learn the workouts we are doing, donate in any way possible, and keep up to date on all of our progress here! You dont have to attend that day (Feb 26th), just be here for us on the trail to the finish line.

  • What are you most excited about for the Hancock Hustle? Getting to eat Chicago style pizza afterward!
  • Have you ever done races or events like this or is this your first? Lots of races and events before- First Time Hustler though!
  • What is your favorite part/aspect of training? Pushing myself beyond what I think are my limits
  • What goals do you have? To NOT trip going up that many flights of stairs. I’m known to be slightly clumsy…
  • How fast are you hoping to complete this? As fast as we all can – I’m hoping the team finishes together!

  • What are you most excited about for the Hancock Hustle? Winning it with my teammates of course! But also the training and routine it entails.
  • Have you ever done races or events like this or is this your first? I have not! I’m a first time mom and thought it would be a great way to get back in shape and have some “me” time.
  • What is your favorite part/aspect of training? My favorite part is the goals we have each week and holding each other accountable. We are all in this together.
  • What goals do you have? My number one goal is to get in shape and stay in shape. I’ve never really stuck with any workout consistently, so having a team really helps with that.
  • How fast are you hoping to complete this? I’m hoping to climb it in about 20 minutes.

Duneland-2016-Hustle-up-the-Hancock-Team-04Jenn Brown

  • What are you most excited about for the Hancock Hustle? – Seeing the view from the top!
  • Have you ever done races or events like this or is this your first? – I have done several 5Ks and 10Ks but I’ve never raced up a building before, bring it on!
  • What is your favorite part/aspect of training? – I mean, I’d be lying if I didn’t say a good-looking booty! It’s also a great team building thing for us. Our team takes classes together and races against each other on the stair machine. It’s great motivation.
  • What goals do you have? – The team has set a goal of raising $1500.00 for the Respiratory Health Association. I think we can hit that goal and hopefully increase it as we get closer to February.
  • How fast are you hoping to complete this? By race day! Feb 26th!

  • What are you most excited about for the Hancock Hustle? I am most excited about doing the Hustle up the Hancock to support a great cause, and have the opportunity to train with friends.
  • Have you ever done races or events like this or is this your first? Yes, I have done running races, and a couple triathlons, but never the Hancock race.
