Memorial Opera House announces auditions for the musical, STATE FAIR on Sunday, June 6 and Tuesday, June 8 at 7pm. 
It's "A Grand Night for Singing" with Rodgers and Hammerstein's STATE FAIR, a breathtaking new production of Broadway's timeless, musical romance!
This new production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic features a magical score that includes such timeless classics as “It Might As Well Be Spring” and “It’s A Grand Night For Singing”.
STATE FAIR is a fun-filled and uplifting show! Set against the colorful backdrop of a grand tradition of the American Heartland, STATE FAIR takes us on the road with the Frake family as they leave behind the hum-drum routine of farm life for three days of fun and adventure at the annual Iowa State Fair.
Casting: Actors, singers, and dancers 16 years and up. Please prepare 16-24 measures of an upbeat song not from the show. An accompanist will be provided. No a capella or taped music is allowed. Bring clothes to dance in. If you tap, bring tap shoes as well.
STATE FAIR will be directed by, Matthew and Carla Douglas. Musical direction by, Chris Stalbaum and Jim Mollin. Choreography by, Amber Mills.
