The Valparaiso Viking varsity baseball team defeated Michigan City 13-3 in six innings on Thursday night. Alec Judy picked up the win for Valpo, pitching all six innings and striking out four.
Jeff Holmes led the way for the Vikings with a 3-for-5 performance that included a triple and three RBI. Sam Miller also went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Stephen Simms went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI as well.
The JV team also defeated Michigan City, 4-2.
