Methodist Hospitals a Host Site for AARP Smart Driver Program

Methodist-Hospitals-AARP-Driving-Flyer-2015When Methodist Hospital was approached by AARP Smart Driver Instructor, Jeanette Pike, to be a host site for their Smart Driver Course the answer was obvious since the majority of trauma cases seen at Methodist Hospitals Northlake Campus Trauma Center are motor vehicle accidents.

The program offers:
Defensive driving techniques
Proven Safety Strategies
New traffic laws and rules of the road

There are no tests to pass. It’s simply a sign up and learn program. Participants may receive auto insurance discounts if your auto insurance company agrees.

AARP will be offering two (2) Smart Driver Programs at both the Gary and Merrillville Campuses.
Thursday, Sept 3, 2015 – Northlake Campus in Gary, 600 Grant Street, Seyl Auditorium in the Administration Bldg.
Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 – Southlake Campus in Merrillville, 8701 Broadway, Classroom 2 Lower level of main hospital building.

To register call Jeannette Pike at 219-949-6307. Attached is AARP’s flyer promoting their program.
