After Methodist Hospitals conducted a Community Health Needs Assessment one of the issues identified was the lack of availability of fresh fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. As a result Methodist Hospitals Food Services Department is offering a series of Farmer’s Market and Food Fairs to promote nutrition and enhance the availability of fresh produce to the Gary and surrounding communities. This is the second year the Farmer’s Markets are being offered.
The Farmer’s Market will be held on the following dates from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Northlake Campus parking lot located directly across from the Administration Building and next to McDonalds:

Look for the big white tent and the Farmer’s Market signs. There will be lots of fresh, delicious fruits and vegetables at wholesale prices in addition to cooking demonstrations by Methodist Hospitals Chefs.
